Age of vineyards : The average age of the vineyard of château Tigné is of 28 years but the plot of land which produces this wine is of more than 40 years old.

They have the peculiarity of radiating at night, the heat they collect during the day. In certain years this peculiarity can lead to a harvest of as much as 10 days earlier than Cabernet in other parts of the region. Fertilizer is not used and instead the ground is worked to have the best expression of this soil rich in marine fossils (faluns).

Drinking suggestions : Serve between 16-17°. This wine matches well with red meat or game, and with soft ripened cheese.

Degustation comments : Even and deep red colour, a nose of red fruits and lovely soft and unctuous palate framed by tannins, which suggest a long life. 2003 is considered by many people as the vintage of the last century in Val de Loire.
